Goodbye to Ace :(

We lost grandpa on Saturday morning. He had been doing well as of Friday, so it was a bit unexpected actually. We spent the entire last 4 days in Pendleton with his whole family. That community is just so neat - everyone really knows how to take care of everyone else. Plus it is so small, you can walk down the street from grammy and papaw's and go to a children's bookstore, a flower shop, grab a bite to eat, go to the park, grab a drink at VP. Big city me used to scoff, but I totally see the value in it now :) The funeral home is next to the VP I spoke of, and the cemetary is literally around the corner. The Delps/Schnepps have been around a long time and much of the immediate family lives right there. We were fed many times over and given lots of time together to reminisce. Evan is worn out from 4 days of nonstop action with his cousins - The funeral was this morning. Andy was really close to his grandpa... it is hard to see your hubby cry isn't it? We will miss you Wally!
