Watching them grow...

My sweet little readers :)

Evan is playing in a "lil kickers" soccer class this fall. We're working on getting him to stop picking up the ball with his hands! :) He seems to enjoy it, while Mom and Katie enjoy the chance to enjoy the AWESOME weather we've been having. Andy had to go to LA for a business trip this week and we were graciously entertained by my mom one night, my brother the next and then attended Zionsville's homecoming game on Friday night with my old teaching buddy Lindsay. Evan found it to be a little overwhelming... but proclaimed in the car on the way home that the instruments were his favorite part (Half time marching band!)

Evan had his first trip to the dentist (finally !) and did amazingly well. He loved the dentist, Dr. Chad, and was cavity free!

Katie is not too keen on tummy time, but is really interested in more toys and activity. I scored this super cute rainforest jumperoo at a consignment sale. She's still a little young for it, but It will be great when she is a little older! As you can see in the video, she is giggling now and I can't get enough of it!

Here is my little reader. He is crazy-reader really! I don't know if you can hear him well enough, but he sounds out the word "dangerous" in the story he is reading. Katie has been an active participant in story time lately as well. We noticed the other night that she'd grab at and flip the pages of some of Evan's board books, so now we try to read to her all the time. Evan can read all of his books to her and that is pretty darn cute if you ask me! :)
