We had a lovely day November 1, so we raked up the leaves and jumped for quite awhile.. Katie enjoyed looking up through the trees and allowed us to play a long time.
We headed to Pendleton to Trick or Treat. We had the perfect Halloween weather and all of P-town was out and about up and down main street (where Grammy and Papaw live) and "downtown" they had "trunk or treating". Evan had his hesitations, but enjoyed the special toy treats and loved helping pass out candy with grammy at her door.
My mom had fall break this week and we enjoyed her assistance with me putting my life (ie wallet) back together, as well as a trip to the children's museum and making halloween cookies together. Mixing the red and yellow together to make orange was Evan's favorite part!
Katie was to be a kitty cat... but my friend Amy came to the rescue with a cutie pie pumpkin outfit for her to borrow at the last minute. Amy saved her from having to be a cow like her brother... not that it really would've mattered! Everyone thought she was a boy all day, but without a bow in baby's hair - it is hard to tell. I thought pinning a bow to the cap would've been a little much...
Evan has never been fond of goo... one morning we made face parts out of felt instead and pinned them on the pumpkins. I still intended to carve them, but the time just got away from us. We had lots of choices cut out, but somehow they ended up twin-like...
